The Rio Coven is part to the Alexandrian Tradition, one of the two branches of what is known as Traditional Wicca.
The Alexandrian Tradition was founded in the early 1960s in the United Kingdom by Alex Sanders, known as the "King of the Witches."
Traditional Wicca is a form of neopagan religious practice rooted in the mid-20th century, deeply influenced by European esoteric traditions.

Initiation
In the Alexandrian Tradition, we say: “Everything must be requested. Nothing is offered.”
For us, Will is the driving force behind all actions, fueling intent and driving desire. Those who do not feel a lack do not desire.
If there is a desire to follow the path of the Art through the Alexandrian Tradition, let that Will be expressed consciously and imperiously. Initiations, therefore, must be requested. If you seek initiation, ask for it!
